Book Review

So I finished Madeleine Wickham’s The Wedding Girl a few weeks ago and I thought I would link up with Blonde…Undercover Blonde for
The Wedding Girl
When ‘I do’ gives you deja vu it could be a problem…
At the age of eighteen, in that first golden Oxford summer, Milly was up for anything. Rupert and his American lover Allan were all part of her new, exciting life, and when Rupert suggested to her that she and Allan should get married, just so that Allan could stay in the country, Milly didn’t hesitate.
Ten years later, Milly is a very different person. Engaged to Simon – who is wealthy, serious, and believer her to be perfect – she is facing the biggest and most elaborate wedding imaginable. Her mother has it planned to the finest detail. Milly’s dreadful secret is locked away so securely she has almost persuaded
herself that it doesn’t exist – until, with only four days to go, her past catches up with her.
My thoughts…
I thought this was a easy quick mindless read. Something that I sometimes just love. I thought the book flowed very easily and was entertaining to get lost in the drama of someone else. I would suggest this for anyone who is looking for something easy and quick to read to pass the time.
  Hugs, Nikki

I don’t like the books written as Madeline Wickham near as much as the ones she writes as Sophie Kinsella, but I do enjoy them nonetheless. 🙂

I’ve read all of her Sohpie Kinsella books… well except her newest. And while I’ve read one or two of her Wickman books, I haven’t read this one yet.
