Active Lifestyle

Remember when I shared with you about my 130 pound transformation? Well I want to tell you today how I stay active and keep that 130 pounds off.
First of all let me tell you that it is not easy! It is a lot of straight up hard work. Do I get tired? Yes. Is there days I want to say f*ck it and give up and eat whatever the hell I want? YES! But do I?

  HELL NO!

I have worked too hard to get to the point that I am at right now to give it up and to be honest with you I don’t WANT to give up the lifestyle I live.

{Mom and I in Red Rock Canyon in Nevada I had already started to loose weight but was not where I wanted to be}

When I was heavier I used to eat whatever I wanted or craved. McDonalds? Sure I’ll have a double quarter pounder with cheese. Would you like that super sized? SURE! Nikki wanna go for ice cream? Sure! I’ll have a extra large chocolate chip cookie dough sundae with sprinkles whipped cream and a cherry on top. Thanks! We are gonna watch a movie wanna have some chips? Sure! I’ll also have some cookies with that.

{you could see the unhappiness in my face because even though I was loosing weight I was still not happy because I was still fat in my eye.}

Yeah that was me! I never said no to food and I ate everything and anything.
I remember one day looking in the mirror and thinking to myself “Wow I am FAT. Not just overweight but straight up FAT! It is time to do something.”
Yes I called myself fat and I am not ashamed to admit it.
Something I did. I started walking on my breaks at work. I started to see results. I changed the way I was eating and started to eat healthier. I remember thinking “Hey this ain’t all that bad after all. I can do this!” I was on a mission.
Now I look at myself and say “I’m never going back to where I was.”
On any given week you will catch me walking at least 14 miles a week. Usually about 2 miles a day if not more. On top of that I hit up BodyCombat 2 to 4 times a week either teaching or actually taking the class.

I also mix in some TRX training

 then there is running
and last but not least hiking.

I LOVE it. I can not go a day with out working out.
I remember when I first started working out. OH MY GOD I wanted to die. I didn’t think I would ever make it through my first hard work out. I did and ya know what I LOVED the way I was feeling! I have become addicted. It takes hard work and determination to get where I have gotten but ya know what if I can do it I sure as hell can assure you YOU can do it if you WANT it.

I will never go back to where I was. I am too happy where I am!

    That is amazing girl! Your story makes me think of a book called “The End of Overeating”. It explains the science of the brain and craving food. It’s so awesome that you beat those cravings <3 I know I have been eating bad lately, and it just makes me feel like poo. I LOVE feeling good from the inside out!
