Dear 16 year old self….
You have no idea how well you have it. I know it seems like you are in hell but once you get to dads you will be so much happier. Don’t let things that are happening to you now rule your life. You are in control of the person you will one day be.
I know changing high schools in the middle of your sophomore year is hard but believe me it will be worth it. You will meet some of your best friends at your new school but whatever you do do not loose touch with the friends you are leaving behind.
Speaking of high school, enjoy it. Live it up. You will only be in school for a few short years and once you are out things will change and they will change fast. Don’t wish away your teenage yeas.
Don’t worry about not having a boyfriend. Boys are that. Boys. They are a waste of time until you get older and realize what you want in life.
One day after you start your “big girl job” you will meet a boy who will end up being a total jerk. He will try to be your prince charming and you will fall for him and marry him but really do yourself a favor and really try not to fall for him.
After you move on from that disasterous relationship you will eventually meet another boy that you think is the best guy in the world. Again you will fall for him and marry him. Sadly a few months later he will think there are other things more important in the world than you are and you will sadly go through that pain of loosing a relationship again. You will live and you will learn and you will become a stronger better person because of these two relationships.
Make your family your number one priority. When Gram gets sick drop EVERYTHING and go be by her side. You will not regret it. She is your world and you love her and would do anything for her because she did EVERYTHING for you while you were a little girl.
Take control of your health. Treat your body with the ut most respect and take care of it. You only have one body treasure it!
As you get older you realize that if you want something you need to work your tail off for it. Don’t worry it is totally worth it.
Go on any and every vacation you want to go on. Seriously do it!
Lastly, enjoy life. Life is short and you are only on this world once might as well live it up and have a blast!
You will thank me for this!
Your 29 year old self.

What a personal message! I love this idea. If only we could actually warn ourselves lol! Its funny how bad things seem at the time they are happening and then how quickly things change and those things don’t seem so bad anymore. Just a lesson in life, a bump in the road. xoxox
