Today I want to talk about aerobic exercise. 
Do y’all know why you all need to be doing aerobic exercise?
And no, 
“Because my doctor said so”
is not an answer.
Here are just a few of the reasons why WE ALL NEED to be doing aerobic exercise.
Obviously there are HEALTH BENEFITS: Aerobic exercise strengthens your heart and lungs. It can also help reduce cholesterol, improve your immune system, lower your blood pressure and reduce your risk of type 2 diabetes.
Now I am pretty sure that we are all aware of the PHYSICAL BENEFITS of aerobic exercise. No? Well let me fill ya in. Ya see when you get up and move and elevate your heart rate your body will start to burn off calories. When you burn the calories you will inevitably loose weight. WIN WIN! Not to mention that aerobic exercise will also help tone your muscles and improve your posture.
MENTAL BENEFITS: Did you know that aerobic exercise has been shown to increase your confidence, emotional stability, memory and brain function? Put that in your pipe and smoke it! Well not literally. But seriously I know when I get a good sweat session in I tend to feel so much better mentally. It also has been shown to reduce anxiety and help deal with depression.
Some OTHER BENEFITS would include and are not limited to improving your sleep which will make us all less cranky. It will also improve your stamina which will give you more energy for work booo and play yay! You will also handle stress better and generally feel better about yourself overall.
And just incase you need a little motivation to get your butt moving…

With all that said….

So as you know I am a certified LesMills BodyCombat instructor. Let me tell you it is an intense workout!

Yeah crazy but I LOVE it! I swear it is one of the best workouts I have ever done and now that I teach it it is that much more fun and that much more of a workout for me.
Let me tell you that trying to talk as you are DOING this workout is a workout in and of itself! I am so winded at the end of the class it is crazy! I have to say that was the roughest part of me getting used to teaching. Well that and being opposite of the class. Seriously you try saying “RIGHT JAB!” meanwhile you are throwing a LEFT JAB. CONFUSING!
Here is a leg track from the newest release 52. I personally love it!

Forget about actually TAKING the class anymore. I swear if you SEE me taking a class not teaching you would think that I never took the class before. The teacher will say “RIGHT COMBAT STANCE” and I go into INSTRUCTOR RIGHT COMBAT STANCE because that is right combat stance to me. Ugh! All I can do is laugh though because the instructors just laugh becuase they KNOW why I am doing it.
Becoming a Combat teacher is one of the best things I have done and a MAJOR accomplishment of mine to date. I would have never thought that I would one day weight 150 pounds and be a group fitness instructor. Just goes to show you that hard work and dedication pays off!

    Wow, that is fantastic! How did you become an instructor? I love combat classes, but my gym doesn’t have any so I do cardio and strength training to get in my workouts.
