Curing #NOtivation: A Fitness Survey

One of my goals in life is to motivate and encourage as many people as I can and help them reach their health and fitness goals. This is also part of the reason why I have become a group fitness instructor because it is one of the most rewarding things about that “job” for me.

With that said the other day I was reading Mallory’s blog the other day and she hosts a link-up along with Hallie and Nikki called Curing #NOtivation.

Her post this week was a interesting fitness survey that I thought I would take and share with you guys!

1. What did you eat for breakfast? 
Mr. Big Truck and I are in the last few days of a 24 Day Challenge so today I had a AdvoCare Meal Replacement Shake. When I am not on the challenge I typically start my day with 2 egg whites along with 1 full egg scrambled with veggies in it and some avocado.
2. How much water do you drink a day?
A LOT! I do not track my ounces anymore. I have a 24oz shaker bottle that I carry around with me EVERYWHERE I go. If I do not have that with me I ALWAYS have a bottle of water with me. I am constantly drinking water or Rehydrate.
3. What is your current favorite workout?
Love me some BodyCombat and BodyPump I also enjoy running, hiking, and kayaking.

4. How many calories do you eat a day? 
Ha! Well if you ask some they will say I do not eat enough but in reality I am FOREVER shoving something in my mouth. Now WHAT I am eating is another story. I am always snacking on something be it fruit, veggies, raw unsalted nuts, yogurt, basically anything healthy.
5. What are your favorite healthy snacks? 
Oh man I can go on and on her. Some of my top picks would be fruit, unsalted raw nuts, yogurt, veggies with hummus.
6. What do you usually eat for lunch? 
Typically a salad with tuna or some grilled chicken or I will have leftovers from dinner the night before.
7. What is your favorite body part to strength train? 
Arms, shoulders, and back. Favorite exercise? PUSH-UPS. Did you know that when you do push-ups correctly you engage EVERY muscle in your body. Make sure you are doing the correctly.
8. What is your least favorite part to strength train? 
Legs and butt. Lunges and squats. HATE them but they are so so good for you.
9. What are your “bad” food cravings? 
Fro-yo, chocolate, cupcakes. I try to limit them.
10. Do you take vitamins or supplements? 
YES! I swear by AdvoCare and their supplements. Let me break it down for you…
Helps maintain lean muscle mass
Helps convert fat into energy and aids in your metabolisim.
Energy drink
Gatoraid only better basically. Its a full spectrum of electrolytes that help keep your hydrated during and after a workout. Mr. Big Truck also drinks this regularly.
Omega 3 fatty acid
Multi
DHA chews
Protein for the days I workout extra hard or the days I do not get enough protein.
Helps build muscle
Helps reduce soreness and helps body recover after workouts.
Aids in muscle growth, strength, stamina,
Helps build lean muscle.
Yes I know it’s a lot and ya know what I am okay with it and I LOVE the results I have gotten from using it all! I will go more into this in a post next week! If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask!
11. How often do you eat out? 

Usually once MAYBE twice a week.

12. Do you eat fast food? 
NO

13. Who is your biggest supporter? 
I have 2 huge supporters in what I do.
My family has been amazing since I started my weight loss journey years go.

14. Do you have a gym membership? 

Not anymore. Since I have become a group fitness instructor I have access to the gyms I teach at and I am always learning new chorey at home so I also have a complete BodyPump set up at home. I also try to get my workouts from non conventional activities like hiking, and kayaking.

15. How many hours of sleep do you get a night? 

I aim for 7-8 a night. I am usually in bed between 9 and 10pm and I am up by 5am Sunday through Fridays. Saturdays I try to sleep in and I am lucky if I can sleep in past 6am.

16. Do you have a “cheat” day? 

I have cheat meals or cheat treats. I do not have an entire cheat day.

17. Do you drink alcohol? 

Occasionally.

18. Do you have a workout buddy? 

I have a lot of workout buddies. Everyone who attends my classes is a workout buddy. I also have Mr. Big Truck when I go hiking, and kayaking.

19. What is the best thing that has changed about your life since committing to a healthy lifestyle? 
I feel AMAZING and I love being able to help others and share my knowledge.

20. What was the last healthy thing you did? 
Ate breakfast this morning.

    I’m going to have to check out AdvoCare after this baby comes!! Sounds great! I love hiking and kayaking as well. Congrats on your success and keep up the good work!
