How the heck are ya? Did everyone have a good weekend? I know I did! Mr. Big Truck and I had a nice extended weekend and enjoyed ever second of it!
We kicked it off on Thursday night with the last concert of the summer. Sad but true. We saw Blake Shelton and my goodness was it a good one! I did not take many pictures this time around annnnnnd I didn’t take a single video. FAIL! It was that good. We are already planning what concerts we want to go to next year.
Friday we had to take Zoe to her 6 week post opp check up with the surgon and he was VERY pleased with how she is healed. He said that she is clear to go back to normal activity which is awesome! I got to see an x-ray of her knee and see the pins in there. Crazy.
After the vet we had a little time to kill and by a little I mean an hour at best before we had to get ready to meet up with some friends. My friend Melissa just celebrated her 30th birthday and her husband surprised he with dinner and a night out at a local comedy club and he asked us to come too. We went to this place called Tumulty’s in New Brunswick for dinner where we had the wait staff sing to her and then we went to Stress Factory to see her favorite comedian. It was a fun night.
Saturday we had to drop my parents off at the airport at the ungodly hour of 5am. I was not a happy camper but I got to sleep the whole way up there and back so it was all good. Mr. Big Truck had picked up a side job at the neighbors and painted for them. The rooms came out really good.
So the room he painted was for my neighbors little girl and their new baby who is due any time now. When their little girl saw her room she was just beside herself. She went up to Mr. Big Truck and gave him a big hug and said that it was so beautiful. So cute!
Sunday was football day. We kicked off the day with throwing together some turkey chili in the crock pot for dinner. Then we set out for Mr. Big Trucks nephews pop warner game. Sadly they lost. It was really sweet though because the team that was playing after ours was from Keyport and their cheerleaders came over and started to cheer for our boys. I think the boys were a little confused because at one point they were all on the field staring over at the cheerleaders with looks of confusion on their faces.
After the game we took the girls to a local park and took them on a nice hour long tail walk. Zoe did fabulously and Rylie did just as well! Love my girls! On the way to the park Rylie thought it was important to get herself IN the utility net in the back of the truck.
It’s Monday and my To Do list is a MILE long. Hope ya’ll had a great weekend!
