Happy ALMOST New Year!
I can not believe that this is the last Monday of 2013.
Well actually I can but I just felt that I needed to say that.
Anyway, I was on Pinterest the other day and I stumbled upon this pin…
and it got me thinking. While I am not one to make “resolutions” I am one to make goals. Friday night while Mr. Big Truck and I were wondering around Dick’s Sporting Goods I was texting with my friend Angie and we were talking about how we both wanted, and are going to set goals as we do every year. I went on to say that I would help keep her accountable to her goals and she said she would do the same for me. We also said that we were going to WRITE DOWN our goals on paper and share them with each other this way there is no excuses. It’s funny how when you physically write down a goal it becomes so much more real. I have a few goals I want to work on. Some are personal goals, while others are goals that will impact Mr. Big Truck, our daughter and myself.
I feel like when you make goals as opposed to resolutions you are more apt to work towards them. I also find that the goals I set for myself are attainable and that is important. Making large goals is great but you need to make realistic goals that can be reached even if they take more than a day, a week, a month or a year. One of the biggest goals I have ever set in my life was to loose weight and I hit that goal and more and it is one goal I will always be proud of. It is also a goal that took me 2 years to achieve and that is okay!
I am debating on making weekly, and monthly goals that I want to hit. I know it seems like a lot but I also think it will help me keep myself and my family on track. Mr. Big Truck and I talk about things we want to do and I feel like the only way we will do these things is by setting smaller goals along the way.
So with 2013 coming to an end and 2014 getting ready to start, tell me what are some of your goals?
I will be sharing some of mine in the next few days.
