Well friends as you know we have made it 20 weeks. As or right now I am sitting at 21 weeks and 3 days pregnant.
I will not lie this pregnancy thing aint no joke! Some days are better than others but if I am being 100% honest and transparent with you most days I am flat-out EXHAUSTED. Monday through Friday I am up at 4:30am for work and I typically am in bed by 8pm because I am just done. Between those hours I am at work from 6am till anywhere between 4:45pm and 6:30pm. Days that I get out at 4:45 or 5:30 I will come home and do some kind of workout, eat dinner, clean up and spend some time with Mr. Big Truck. I also find time during the day to work some of my AdvoCare business too. Long days let me tell you.
Anyway, getting back to the point of this post. I am now officially more than halfway through this pregnancy and yesterday Mr. Big Truck and I went to the doctor for our Anatomy Scan. What a disaster it was getting to it let me tell you. First of all Mother Nature thought it would be fun to dump a bucket load of snow on us. The last time I checked we had a solid 10 inches. Fun let me tell you. Now my appointment was originally for 6pm however, on Monday I had called the office to see if they could either get me in Monday evening or early Tuesday knowing we were going to get hit with the snow. No dice. Tuesday morning I got a call from the office asking if I could come in at 1pm for my appointment. I was in! By 9am the snow was coming down in full force. Wonderful! By 10am when I left it was already a hot mess on the roads.
What SHOULD have taken me 20 to 25 minutes took me an hour to get home. I got home jumped in the shower and we were out the door by 11:30am to head to the doctor. I figured we better leave ourselves plenty of time. Good thing we did this because what SHOULD have taken us 30 to 35 minutes wound up taking us an hour and 15 minutes! We got the doctor and it was go time. I laid on the table the technician plopped some cold goop on my belly and BAM Little Miss was on the screen!
Instantly a smile came across Mr. Big Trucks face and mine. From what we were told everything looks great and Little Miss weighs in at a whopping ONE pound! We even gotta wave from her while she was in there fidgeting around and doing her thing. Luckily she was cooperative and the technician was able to get all the measurements that she needed. Everything looked to be where it was supposed to be and Little Miss is right where she should be for 21 weeks along! We got to see her head, her bottom, her brain, heart, lips, kidneys, spine and all that good stuff. Needless to say we could not be happier! They printed out some pictures for us and sent us on our merry little way. Back into the frozen tundra we went. What should have taken us normally 30-35 minutes to get home took us and hour and a half. I was never so happy to be home for the day!
The only thing that was different this time around was my blood pressure. While it was in normal range it was high for me. I will take it. Now if I can just get through the rest of this pregnancy all will be good. We were told about 28 weeks-ish we will be doing another ultrasound and it should be a 3-D one. I am excited!
So yeah that snow I was talking about, we got close to a foot of snow when all was said and done and now today there is a gorgeous blue sky but COLD! Poor Mr. Big Truck is out there snow blowing and do all that fun stuff. No worries though I filled him up with some chocolate chip pancakes, turkey sausage and coffee this morning!
He actually tried to stay somewhat on top of keeping the front stoop and back stoop and a place for the girls to go out and do their business clean which I am sure is helping him in the long run today.
No no I am good in the warmth of the house thanks babe! As I am sitting here typing this it sounds like he is just about done.
So yeah that was the fun we dealt with yesterday and this morning. Hope y’all have a great day and if you are in Jersey stay warm in these sold temps.
