First and foremost hello third trimester!
I’m 28 weeks and ready for this to be over. Just being honest. Pregnancy is no joke. More on that later though.
So clearly Mr. Big Truck and I are back from our 2 week hiatus and let me tell you it was awesome! We had an amazing time. We spent a week with my father and his wife down in FL and then we shot over to Dallas for all of 48 hours to spend some time with some awesome friends of ours getting some awesome training from AdvoCare. Overall the trip was great and I am so glad I decided to take 2 weeks off back to back. I have a bunch of stuff I want to share with you from our trip to FL and TX but last week while we were home I did not get to go through all our pictures and pick the best ones to share. I promise it is on my list of things to do and I will get to it ASAP!
It’s Monday and I am back at work and sadly Mr. Big Truck is not feeling 100%. Although it kills me to see him feeling under the weather I am glad that it is now and not while we were traveling. I am sure with some rest and a trip to the doctor he will be on the mend fast!
Life has been a bit hectic lately and I will not lie I am not upset about it at all. I would say it’s a good hectic. Things are coming together nicely in general in all aspects of life and I could not be happier!
Last week we had a stay-cation week. I have to admit I am starting to enjoy these stay-cations just as much as I do vacations where we go away. Mr. Big Truck and I got to spend some quality time together which is always nice. Nothing specific was planned and there were no time lines all week and I LOVED every minute of it. Last week was an awesome look into our future when we are a stay at home family. I can not wait!
Monday we decided to just relax at home and regroup from our week aways before. We went through the mail and I caught up with some AdvoCare work that I wanted to take care of.
Tuesday we ran some errands locally and stopped by Buy Buy Baby to drop off some coupons that I used when I ordered Little Miss her furniture. We also decided we needed to add some things to our registry. Tuesday night we went to church earlier than normal because we wanted to catch up with what we missed in our Self-Confrontation class from the week before. It was nice to be able to stay a bit after class and talk with everyone longer than we normally do.
Wednesday Cabela’s was calling Mr. Big Trucks name so we decided to take a ride out to PA and see what was going on out there. Mr. Big Truck got a gift card from my mom for Christmas that has been burning a hole in his pockets so needless to say he was happy to go. The whole drive out there we talked about our future and talked able plans we have and what we want to accomplish with AdvoCare. We also talked about how much we have both grown as individuals and as a couple in the last year. Good stuffs!
Thursday we bummed around the house and it was awesome. I don’t remember if we did some random shopping on Thursday of Friday but we scored some super cute clothes for Little Miss. Can I just tell you she is going to have more clothes than Mr. Big Truck and my self put together! Crazy!
LOVE the monkey butt!
Friday I went for my glucose test. Now I will admit drinking the drink was not that bad. It honestly tasted like a really sweet orange soda. After the test I was STARVING because I had to fast for it so we hit up a local dinner and I got cinnamon apple whole wheat pancakes with a side of turkey sausage. Party in my mouth!
The rest of the day we did a whole lot of nothing important. Well, I really can’t say that because we did go to my mom’s house so Mr. Big Truck could change the oil in the truck and we also cut the girls nails. They were so bad! Can I just tell you, you would have thought we were killing Zoe when she was getting her nails done. Mr. Big Truck was holding her I was trying to keep her calm and mom was cutting her nails and she was SCREAMING like it was the end of the world. So dramatic. Rylie on the other hand is so oblivious to what is going on that she just lets us hold her and go to town. Zoe really needs to take note from her sister.
Saturday I had a chiropractor appointment and then meet up with my friend Siobhan for lunch and to talk about maternity pics! We set a date for April 26th and I can not wait! After lunch I went home and got myself together to go to a friend’s house because they were having a get together with a bunch of people. Good times.
Sunday we went to church and then hung out around the house. Sunday evening we had a mixer which we had planned for 6pm and no one showed up and then at 7pm someone finally showed up.
So yeah that was last weeks stay-cation in a nut shell. Loved every second of it and can not wait to live life on our terms EVERYDAY! Like Dave Ramsey says “If you will live like no one else, later you can live like no one else.” Mark my words we will do life on our terms!
Off to tackle the day! I am going to try to catch up on all the blogs I missed the last 2 weeks. Lets see how long that takes me.
