Decreased Fetal Movement…

Happy Thursday Friends!

How has everyone been? Not gonna lie this week started out a little rough and I am STILL trying to catch up. The whole being 31 weeks pregnant thing is definitely taking a toll on me but I will push through!

So Monday evening we had a belly check and all was good with Little Miss which is always great news! However Monday night played out oh so different from any typical night. See about 1:30am I got up to go to the bathroom as per the normal now a days. Typically after I get back in bed Little Miss thinks it’s time to have a little dance party in my uterus. Well Monday night after I got back in bed I laid there and waited for the party to start only there was nothing. Hum? That’s weird I thought to myself. Needless to say I laid there wide awake waiting. 2am rolls around and still nothing. 2:4am still nada. I gently wake up Mr. Big Truck and asked him to get me some water with ice. Now typically asking him to get me water is not anything outta the normal. I think the thing that caught him off guard was the fact that I asked for ice in it. Immediately he asked me what was wrong. I told him I was trying to get the baby to move because I had not felt her in over an hour. He came back with water and a snack for me. 3am rolled around and still nada. At this point Mr. Big Truck and I were both getting nervous. Mr. Big Truck called our doctor and he told us to go to the hospital and get checked out. Well that is when I lost it. I was keeping it together really well until I heard the word hospital. My heart sank. That was the first time in my entire pregnancy that I actually worried something may have been wrong. After a slight break down -read ugly cry on Mr. Big Trucks shoulder- I pulled it together and we left for the hospital. Not gonna lie I prayed the entire way there. Once we got there they took me right up to L&D and hooked me up for a NST -Non Stress Test-

The first thing we heard was her heartbeat which put me and Mr. Big Truck at ease for sure! FINALLY she started kicking and moving and I was able to fully relax. After about 15 minutes the nurse came in to check on me and look at the print out thus far. She asked me if I was feeling any pain. No why? She continued to tell me that I was having some contractions but as long as I am not in pain and am not feeling them it is fine. Braxton Hicks. Wonderful. She said they are nothing to worry about unless I start to feel any pain. Ok great! No pain I am not going to worry! They left me connected for a bit longer to monitor the baby. We finally left the hospital about 5am. By the time we got home it was 5:30am so needless to say I was not going to make it to work.

So yeah as you can see Monday night really threw us for a loop. The lack of quality sleep really messed me up on Tuesday and Wednesday. Then because lack of sleep was not enough to have to deal with Wednesday was super busy between work and AdvoCare. By the time I got home Wednesday night Mr. Big Truck and I went for a walk with the girls since it was so nice out and then called it an evening.

Here we are facing Thursday and I finally am starting to feel like normal again! Today’s to do list includes making a list of things we need to make sure we need to get before Little Miss makes her appearance. One big thing I crossed off that list this morning actually was our stroller! I have a few calls lined up I need to take today and of course work. Tonight I need to finish working on my thank you cards from my shower so I can get them out in the mail this weekend. Which by the way I have not forgotten to post about the shower I am still waiting on the photos to get back to me.

Oh and because I have not shared any ultrasound pictures lately I thought I would share these nuggets with you.

These were from our 29 week ultrasound. The tech wanted to play around with the 3D effect and I LOVE the pics! Notice she has her hand up over her forehead. Funny story, as I was laying there during the ultrasound I was laying there with my hand above my forehead. Like mother like daughter? Mr. Big Truck GOOD LUCK my friend!

Anyway, hope y’all have a great day!

  Hugs, Nikki

I am glad to hear everything is ok. I love the dramatic affect of the hand over the forehead. It’s like she is saying, “Oh Mama! I was TRYING to sleep!”
