Happy Monday Friends!
How was everyones weekend? Mine was great! I had a nice long 3 day weekend thanks to Easter weekend. Friday started off with some much needed catching up with sleep! Man did it feel good! I finally got myself up and moving showered and out the door to meet my friend Amanda for brunch. Of course as I was getting myself out the door I found a surprise package at my back door! Mr. Big Truck and I have decided that we are gonna start using essential oils. My friend has been talking very highly of them and we decided why not?
So far we really like them! We have been using Peace & Calming at night.
After brunch Amanda and I went to Barnes and Nobel where I finally picked up The Noticer Returns by Andy Andrews. I hope to read it before Little Miss makes an appearance but I am not going to hold my breath. After that I went by my moms and spent some time with her and my niece. Hailie turned 11 on Thursday so we did some shopping and she got her birthday present. We also did some grocery shopping for Easter. Friday night Mr. Big Truck and I went to Good Friday Service at church and then called it a night.
Saturday my friend Ali came to spend the day with me. Let me just tell you girlfriend is a life saver! She has a nack for organizing things unlike someone else I know. We did some shopping and then spent some time getting the nursery put together.
That was what the nursery looked like when we started. We did not finish but we made a HUGE dent in it. We READ: Mr. Big Truck has a 2 projects to finish up for us so we can finish the nursery and then all will be well! I also washed all the babies clothes and blankets which is a big check off the to do list! Thank you so much Ali for all your help! I would be lost without you no doubt in my mind! As soon as everything is done I will show you some nursery pictures.
Sunday morning while Mr. Big Truck was getting ready for church he came out of the bathroom to find a little Easter surprise for him.
I love the caption he posted on Facebook with the picture: ‘My little girl will be a Mets fan until she is old enough to say “Daddy why in the world are we Mets fans?”‘ I could not help but laugh.
Mr. Big Truck and I got up packed a cooler of things we needed to take to moms and headed out to church. Service was great! It was an awesome reminder of what Jesus did for us. We were also pleasantly surprised with how full the service was. Love seeing such a full service! After church we went to moms and I put the deviled eggs together and made sweet potatoes and helped mom with some other stuff in the kitchen.
My mom has already started to spoil Little Miss which does not surprise me. This was her Easter Basket…
After dinner Mr. Big Truck and I went to have dessert with his side of the family and then went home and called it a day.
Long weekends are always welcomed but they do always go by so fast.
In other news T minus 3 weeks till maternity leave starts!
