One year down many more to come with this hunk of a guy!
Mr. Big Truck you are amazing!
A year ago I had been “seeing” this handsome guy for a few weeks. My feelings were growing for him and I was becoming more and more “attached” to him. I knew where I wanted things to go but I was not 100% sure what he was thinking so I figured -see what I did there I told you I don’t assume babe- I would let things roll and wait for the affirmation from him. Little did I know that May 5, 2013 would be the day I got that affirmation.
We had just got to Englishtown Flea Market when you got a text from your friend to go fishing and you texted him back something. You then showed me that text and I to this day remember clearly it said…
“Sorry dude I can’t I’m out and about with my girl today.”
You then said to me
“You don’t mind me calling you my girl do you?”
to which I replied
“Nope not at all!”
I thought that was the affirmation I was waiting for.
Little did I know that later in the day I would have a clearer affirmation.
We went about our day walking around the flea market just enjoying each others company.
We headed out to a nursery because you wanted to pick up some more vegetable plants to plant.
We got them, dropped off a bag of clothing I needed to donate that had been sitting in my truck for an obscene amount of time, and headed to your place to plant the plants. When we left your place to go back to mine we were at a stop sign and you said to me…
“Ya know I have been thinking, I really like the way my girl sounds. So I was wondering, I am not one to move fast in things but if I were to ask you to be my girlfriend what would you say?”
Me being the smart ass I am replied with…
“I don’t know, why don’t you ask me.”
You smiled that sly sexy smile of yours.
Your face had that I just asked you, answer the question look on it so I just simply replied…
“To answer your question, yes I would love to be your girlfriend.”
The rest is history.
Little did I know that our history would include getting married and starting a family all in the matter of one short year. One short but amazing year. One I would not change a thing about!
Just SOME of the things that stand out to me from the past year:
Our first Memorial Day Weekend -crazy to think how different this year is!
Luke Bryan -it was all his fault!
I could go on and on about things that happened over this past year with Mr. Big Truck. I can honestly say this past year has been LIFE CHANGING for myself and I know I can say it has been LIFE CHANGING for Mr. Big Truck as well. I would not change a thing about it either. Thank you Mr. Big Truck for coming into my life and being the creepy guy who I fell in love with and have never been happier with.
Happy Anniversary Babe!
