Father’s Day 2014 was a day for the books! The weather was absolutely perfect and we spent the day at the lake celebrating Mr. Big Truck being a father and my father being a father and a grandfather!
I love this picture of the three of them. Mr. Big Truck and my father have a great relationship. My father and I are super close and I hope, pray, and know that one day Mr. Big Truck and Little Miss will have a relationship like my dad and I have.
Father’s Day weekend we went up to the lake. It was really two-fold. One we love the lake and love spending time up there with my parents but also my parents were having a “Meet the baby and Mr. Big Truck” party for their friends. Mr. Big Truck and I went up Saturday after he got home from work. We figured if we went up Saturday we could spend some time with my parents before the chaos of the party started. I am so glad we did. My father and Molly got to spend some quality time with us and Little Miss which is just what we all wanted.
Little Miss made herself comfortable on her grandpa’s belly and took a nice 3 hour nap on him. Grandpa ate it up and did not move the entire time. I am talking he wouldn’t even let me take her off him when dinner was ready. I mean I flat-out got yelled at. “DON’T YOU WAKE HER UP. LEAVE HER ALONE!” No joke! Pops let her sleep on him and he ate dinner while she slept.
Father’s Day morning I woke up to this cuteness.
Melt my heart. Seriously it was adorable!
Since we got home from the hospital with the exception of the first week we were home Little Miss has been sleeping in her crib. The first week it was every man for themselves as I like to put it. While we were at my dads she slept in the bed between us and MAN does that little girl make a TON of noises when she sleeps! Crazy I do not hear any of them over the monitor. Needless to say I am so glad she sleeps in her crib in her own room and not in our room!
After church my dad and Molly had some friends of the family over to meet Mr. Big Truck and Little Miss. We had such a great day at the lake.
Mr. Big Truck and Little Miss had some serious conversations on the water.
Pop and Mr. Big Truck did some fishing and bonding.
Little Miss meet one of my best friends.
And of course Little Miss spend time with Grandma and Grandpa.
It was a great Father’s Day had by all!
