Migraine and Vertigo

Happy Friday friends!

How has everyone’s week been? Mine has been interesting to say the least. Lets rewind shall we?

Monday night Mr. Big Truck and I got to bed. I complain to him that my head hurt and I had a bad headache. I figured I would be ok in the morning and I would just sleep it off. Tuesday morning comes and I get up at 4:30am as usual and go about my business. I am in the kitchen making tea and I get super dizzy and start to feel like I was going to pass out. I turned off the stove and went right back to bed. Do not pass go do not collect $200 dollars. I wake up a few hours later and feel like butt. I called out of work and just relaxed with Mr. Big Truck and #babybigtruck. I was not feeling any better in the afternoon so I texted my sister-in-law who happens to work at our doctors office and asked her for an appointment. 4:30pm game on. She asked me what was wrong I told her I was dizzy, nauseous, had a pounding headache, and felt like I was going to pass out. Her immediate question to me was are you pregnant?? Um no. Thanks but no thanks. She insisted that I take a test so off to the store Mr. Big Truck went. I took the test and alas I was not pregnant. I went to the dr and he told me I had a tension headache and he adjusted my neck and although it felt good it brought out a full-blown migraine. Thankfully we were able to treat it right there on the spot. I went home and went to bed.

Wednesday I got up and was still feeling off. We chilled out and about noon time I had another migraine come on. We called my mom and she came home to sit with #babybigtruck while Mr. Big Truck and I went to the ER. My dr office is closed on Wednesdays. I had a CT scan to make sure that there was nothing else going on with my chrome dome which thankfully there is not and was treated for the migraine and vertigo and sent on my way. I went home and chrome out for the rest of the evening. When I got home my mom brought up a good point that her and Ray were talking about. I went 5 months not looking at a computer screen for 11 hours a day to back to looking at it all day. They thought it may have been spurred by eye strain. The ER doctor told me to follow-up with my Dr and possibly a neurologist. After talking to my mom and Ray about the eye strain thing I also made an appointment for Thursaday at Lenscrafters.

Thursday morning rolls around and I was feel MUCH better. I went to the eye doctor and low and behold I needed reading/computer glasses. I was also told that my distance vision was a little off but to start with the glasses for reading and the computer and see if that helps my distance at all. I am not the proud new owner of glasses!

And here we are facing Friday. I have a regular day of work ahead of me and then home to chill with my baby girl!

Welcome to the world of glasses. I have had them since I was in third grade. Glad it was figured out though.

I had a pair but lost them. Oops! Time to keep a handle on them now.

So with getting glasses for the first time are you having any trouble adjusting to them? It would seem that you mostly need your glasses for the computer and reading, but since your distance vision needs correction they must want you to wear your glasses all the time? You’ve only been wearing them a few days but can you tell if they are making any difference? I guess just not getting headaches would prove that they are helping? Is your vision somewhat blurry now when you don’t have your glasses on?
