Baby’s First Christmas

Well here we are January 2015 and that means we have successfully made it through the holiday season and #babybigtrucks FIRST Christmas. I will say it was great!

Christmas Eve we were by my mom’s house as per the normal. My mom’s side of the family always does Christmas on Christmas Eve. Mom makes dinner and my brother and his family come over and this year my mother in law joined us as well.

I love that #babybigtruck just happened to put her head down right before this picture was snapped! Perfect timing!

3 generations.

We had a great dinner including lasagna, eggplant rolitini, and pasta with seafood. So much food but so yummy! After dinner the madness of gifts began.

#babybigtruck actually enjoyed opening her presents. She racked up too! Girlfriend got all kinds of new clothes and a bouncy for the doorway.

I wrapped my nephews gift in the bread box from Thanksgiving and when he saw it he really thought he was getting bread. He tried SO HARD to not be disappointed. I told him to actually look INSIDE the box and then he was very excited.

He really tried not to look disappointed. He was such a good sport.

I wrapped Hailie’s gift in the baby booster chair box.

Again after telling her to look INSIDE she was excited as well.

After the kids finished opening their stuff the adults had at it.

Mr. Big Truck got some ice fishing stuff he wanted and a new watch he had been eyeing up. He and #babybigtruck gifted me a gorgeous necklace with her birthstone in it and some Alex and Ani bracelets. I also received a new Bible, a Bible Study book, and a ceramic with a laser engraved photo of my dad, my gram and myself in it. I absolutely love it!

Christmas morning rolled around and we woke up and did gifts at home as a family of 3. #babybigtruck got a few toys and some books from us. We did not go too crazy for her this year as we knew everyone else was going to.

Just like Christmas Eve she loved ripping the wrapping paper off her gifts.

After her nap we got dressed and ready to head out to Mr. Big Trucks side of the family.

Not without getting a family Christmas Day photo.

My creepy husband. Love him.

We went to Mr. Big Trucks brothers house and did gifts with all the rest of the nieces and nephew.

Absolute chaos ensued and we had a blast!

#babybigtruck got an activity table and she absolutely loves it! To the point I had to take it out of the box for her to play with right away. She was screaming and hollering at it.

We went to another family members house for dinner and then called it a night.

The next day #babybigtruck went to school for a few hours in the morning while Mr. Big Truck and I got ready for my Dad and Molly came down for a visit and more gifts, and a turkey dinner.

Again #babybigtruck had a blast ripping off the wrapping paper.

After gifts Hailie, Nicholas and Amanda and my mother in law came over and we all had dinner. It was a great night.

Overall it was a long 3 days but a great 3 days.

  Hugs, Nikki
