Weekend Happenings

Hey friends!

Hope everyone had a good weekend. I know we did. It was yet again a busy one. What else is new though?

Saturday #babybigtruck and I started out day with her gym class. After class we met Mr. Big Truck and set out to Rutgers for Rutgers Day. We had a great time. We forgot the big camera at home so we had to rely on our phones for photos.

We went to the agricultural part of the festival and got to see all the animals there. We saw cows, piglets, big pigs, sheep and horses. #babybigtruck also got to pet a cow.

After the animals we were walking along minding out own business when the wind picked up a bit. There was hay blwoing around and we didn’t think anything of it. As we were walking I noticed #babybigtrucks face started to get blotchy and red. We stopped and I checked her out and as we walked farther away from the area where the hay was the rash went away. I also noticed that while we were around the animals and hay her nose was running something fierce. Leads me to believe that girlfriend has outdoor allergies too. I need to get her tested for that next.

After that fiasco we were walking along and there were a ton of food trucks. We caught a whiff of the funnel cakes and Mr. Big Truck and I both made comment about how neither of us had had one in a ho minute. We stopped and got one to share. We also shared it with #babybigtruck. Girlfriend LOVED it.

We walked around a bit more and then decided to call it a day. On our way home we stopped at House of Cupcakes and ordered the cupcakes for her birthday party and the giant cupcake for her smash cake!

Sunday morning we were up bright and early for the March of Dimes #MarchForBabies walk. We were meeting up with Alexa, Kenya, #babylifewithgiggles and a bunch of other people. Both #babybigtruck and #babylifewithgiggiles are premies. For those of you who do not know #babybigtruck was delivered via c-section at 35 weeks and #babylifewithgiggles was delivered at 33 weeks.

It was a great cause. The weather was grogeous there was an awesome turnout and everyone had a blast! #babybigtruck and I were walking around after the walk and we got stopped by the lady doing interviews for Fios News 1 and we wound up on TV!

  Hugs, Nikki

Nice that your munchkin like petting a cow (or calf). The love between kids and animals is a beautiful thing!
