Hope everyone had a great weekend! I know we did!
Friday night we chilled out at home. #babybigtruck has learned a new trick.
Girlfriend loves to now play in the drawers and cabinets.
Saturday morning we got up nice and early and set out for #babybigtrucks gym class. Mr. Big Truck came with us because right from class we had a family photo shoot scheduled with Siobhan. The weather was overcast and looked like it was going to pour and sure enough it did for about 30 minutes. Thankfully it did not stop us from being able to get our shoot in! Sio actually likes shooting in overcast she says you gt better lighting that way. Shes the boss! We met her down at a local park and walked around to a few places she wanted to shoot at. We did not know before hand but there was a dog appreciation day going on at the park as well so the part of the park that she really wanted to shoot in was not available for us. No worries though we got some great shots and I can not wait to see them! I am sure we will hit up the park again and get to shoot where she wanted to.
After photos we stopped for lunch and then were kicking around a few ideas of what to do. We were going to try to go to a Zoo but then decided to go to my mom’s house let #babybigtruck play with her swing set and run around a bit. While we were there Ray had to go to Walmart to return something so I told Mr. Big Truck to pick up a kiddie pool for #babybigtruck and let me tell you that went over so well! She had a BALL in the pool. We did not have any swim diapers or a bathing suit for that matter with us so we stripped her down and let her have at it. Girlfriend had no fear of the water and loved splashing around. We knew she would after the blast she had splashing in the puddles at the park during photos.
We wound up staying by my moms later than we expected but it was nice to just chill out and relax. When we got home #babybigtruck got a bath and then went to bed a little earlier than normal because she was so tired.
Sunday started out with church as usual. We hit up the first service thinking we could take advantage of the day better that way. After service we decided to take a ride down the shore before the crazies flock down. I am so glad we did this. We had lunch on the boardwalk and then walked around for a bit. We walked all the way down the end of the boardwalk and back. When we got back we took #babybigtruck out on the beach for a little bit and Mr. Big Truck took her all the way to the water.
All was going well until I got stun by a bee on my toe. Can I tell you how much that HURT! My goodness! I have not been stung in quiet a while and if I don’t get stung again that would be great!
By the time we got home it was time to make dinner, take baths, do our nighttime routine and get ready for the week ahead. Weekends like this make my heart so so full. Spending time with my family is my ABSOLUTE favorite thing to do. I’m so so so looking forward to an extended weekend this coming weekend!
