Well friends here we are almost a week after Father’s Day has come and gone and I am just getting to post about it. Such is life right?
This Father’s Day found us up at the lake as it does typically. Saturday evening Mr. Big Truck, #babybigtruck and I got to spend some time with Ray and Mom so Sunday we got to spend some time celebrating the other fathers in our life.
Sunday morning we got up had breakfast as per the norm and then got ready for church. Mr. Big Truck and #babybigtruck rocked out in their matching Big Fish Little Fish shirts I had made for them.
After church we stopped home picked up the dogs and set out for the lake.
It was a nice relaxing day that consisted of sitting on the deck, blowing bubbles with the best $3 dollar bubble machine I could have ever scored at Old Navy, and having dinner with extended family.
Mr. Big Truck and Dad put the boat in the water while we were up there since the water level was FINALLY high enough. We thought we would go for a ride but not even 10 minutes into the ride did we have to turn back because the engine needed a tune up. Next time we go up we WILL get out on the boat! We have all been not so patiently waiting to get out there.
Overall it was a nice relaxing Father’s Day which was exactly what we needed before this current week. It’s been a long one for sure!
