Hope everyone had a great weekend. I know we did. It was yet again another busy but fun weekend so I can not and will not complain.
We started the party Friday night with a little post school play date. #babybigtruck and I met our friends at school and then we all went to the park. The kids played and Brooke and I hung out and chatted for a bit. The kids had a blast! Brookes son is a month and a half younger than #babybigtruck and they were in the same room until #babybigtruck moved to toddlers. We just found out that Brookes soon is going to be moving up to the toddler room starting today!
By the time we got home Friday night we had just enough time to have dinner and get ready for bed. Saturday morning we got up, got packed and set out for literally an all day adventure. First up swim!
After swim we set out for Ocean City for the day. We went down there last summer for Mr. Big Trucks birthday and had a great time. Granted #babybigtruck was only 3 months last year. This year was a whole new ballgame. Girlfriend is now 14 months and CONSTANTLY on the move. We decided to give the wagon a whirl this time around and #babybigtruck LOVED it. She sat in it nicely while we were walking and when we would stop she would stand and wait for help to get out.
We played on the beach for a good 2 hours which I was super impressed with how well she did. She had a blast playing in the water and walking along the coast a bit. When we got back to our blanket and umbrella she happily played in the sand. When it was time to pack it in I tried the baby powder trick to get the sand off her and I was so impressed with how well that worked! Definitely something I will ALWAYS bring with us to the beach. We talked about how we need to get a nicer and bigger umbrella too for next time.
After we were done on the beach we got changed and wandered the boardwalk for a bit. We made our way down to the ride area and gave it a whirl. It was the first time #babybigtruck went on rides and she did GREAT! She had a blast and was giggling the whole time. When a ride was over and it was time to get off she was not thrilled about it but thankfully there were no tears.
By the time we got done with all the rides it was time for dinner. #babybigtruck worked up some appetite with all the excitement of the day. After dinner we put on #babybigtrucks pjs, stopped for ice cream and walked around a bit longer until it was closer to her bed time which is when we decided to head home.
Sunday we laid low and hung out with family at my mom’s house. Mr. Big Truck helped his friend move, I went for a pedi and then we had a little BBQ at my moms house with Mr. Big Trucks mom as well. #babybigtruck got to play on her swing set for a bit, played in her little pool and learned how to do cheers thanks to grandpa!
Overall it was another great weekend had by all!
