Well friends lets play catch up shall we?
Lets rewind back to the week before Thanksgiving. Specifically November 18th. It was my birthday and #babybigtruck and I felt we needed to twin for the day.
Then we decided we needed to scream “LET IT GOOOOOO” at the top of our lungs at 6am and have daddy take a picture of us. You’re welcome daddy!
Now lets fast forward shall we? Specifically 4:20pm. I was getting myself ready to leave work when my phone rang and the dreaded “Day Care” words showed as the caller id.
My first thought was it was a boo-boo report.
I answered the phone and I was wrong. It was the phone call that I do not like to receive. Ya know the one where one of the center directors is on the phone saying that #babybigtruck is having a hard time breathing. Wonderful.
I was told that she had her afternoon treatment and that she was still having a hard time catching her breath and she was taking short and rapid breaths. I told them to give her another treatment and I was on my way down. I was about halfway to the school when I got another call from them and this time it was worse. Miss Johnana said that she wanted to call 911 because her breathing was getting worse still. I asked her if it was her child what would she do and she said she would absolutely call 911. I said do it. At this point I called my mom because she was ahead of me on her way to my house because her, Ray, myself and #babybigtruck were supposed to go out to dinner for my birthday together so we were not alone as Mr. Big Truck was working that evening.
By the time I got to school the ambulance was already there and #babybigtruck was strapped in and was having another treatment. When I walked in she was crying and was clearly upset. I also noticed that she was not moving her left arm at all. It immediately reminded me of when she had Nurse Maid Elbow a couple of months back. We went to the ER and after they got her breathing under control I had asked the doctor to check her arm and sure enough it was Nurse Maid Elbow. By the time we were getting ready to be discharged #babybigtruck was doing hot laps around the peds floor. Thankfully she bounced back with no problem.
Now lets fast forward again but this time to Saturday November 21st at 3am. I had woken up to go to the bathroom and when I got back in bed I started to get some pain on the lower right side of my stomach. I thought I had to go to the bathroom again so I got back up and sat down and I started to get nauseous and dizzy the next thing I know Mr. Big Truck was over me asking me what was wrong. I had no clue what was wrong. Apparently I had passed out and hit the floor and Mr. Big Truck came running in the bathroom to check on me. He called 911 and then he called my mom to come over and sit with #babybigtruck.
We got to the hospital and got all checked in and then they took me down for an ultrasound to see what was going on. The doctor came back in and told me that I had a very large cyst -3.5 inches- on my ovary that had ruptured. They called for the OBGYN to come in and talk to me about what was going to happen next. Basically I wound up having to have emergency surgery to go in and remove the cyst and hopefully save my ovary. After my surgery I was informed that they were able to save the ovary and all they needed to do was clean up all the aftermath of the ruptured cyst. Thankfully it was nothing serious. I was discharged later that day.
So yeah it has been a adventurous week to say the least. Then because that was not enough on Thanksgiving Day #babybigruck walked into the corner of my mother in-laws TV stand and gave herself a nice black eye. Poor thing.
We can only hope and pray now that we will both stay healthy and not need to go to the ER anytime soon!
