Well another holiday season has come and gone and while we typically try to go to the city to see the tree BEFORE Christmas we didn’t make it until AFTER New Years!
Saturday after New Years we decided that we would venture into the city and finally see the tree for the season!
Last year when we we went #babybigtruck was only 7 months old and was really clueless as to what was going on. While she is only 19 months this time around she still didn’t really know what was going on but she was up for an adventure! We took the 10:32am train in and it was PACKED! I really could not believe how many people were on the train!
When we pulled into Penn Station I strapped #babybigtruck into her carrier and off we went!
First stop was Baked by Melissa for mini cupcakes!
We walked through Times Square and stopped at the Disney Store and wound up bringing a new Mickey Mouse home. From Times Square we made our was over to Rockefeller Center as we walked we ran into the minions so we made sure to stop and take photos with my minion!
On our way to the tree we stopped and took photos with the big Christmas Balls as well!
We made it to the tree and took our family selfie!
After the tree we ventured over to the American Girl store and #babybigtruck was in her glory! American Girl was a MADHOUSE. Don’t get me wrong it’s typically always busy but it was busier than normal! I know the 2016 Girl of the Year Doll was released the day before and I have a feeling that had a lot to do with it!
After American Girl we decided that we would start to head back to Penn Station and make the 4:07pm train home. After fighting to stay awake #babybigtruck finally fell asleep in the carrier on the walk back to Penn Station for about an hour.
We made the train and train entertainment was thanks to Mickey Mouse and our tickets!
Thankfully it was another successful trip for the 3 of us to the city and I couldn’t have asked for a better day! We look forward to doing this every year as a family.
