Guys we are struggling over here. Like it’s really been rough the past week and a half now dealing with the sickies.
It all started last Monday morning when I got a call from #babybigtrucks school saying she had to get picked up because she had diarrhea. Fun times. We had to keep her home on Tuesday because she had to be diarrhea free for 24 hours and have a doctors note before she could go back to school. Tuesday I took her to the doctor and she was back in school on Wednesday. She made it through the day on Wednesday with no issues thankfully! Thursday Mr. Big Truck went to pick up #babybigtruck about 3pm and as he walked in one of the directors was walking to the front of the building with #babybigruck. Mr. Big Truck calls me and informs me that #babybigtruck is covered in hives and has had 2 diarrhea diapers in a matter of 20 minutes. Needless to say she stayed home from school on Friday. Thankfully the hives were gone by Saturday afternoon.
Saturday morning we had an appointment with the ENT to have #babybigtrucks tubes checked.
#babybigtruck worked on her Valentine’s Day card for daddy while we waited for the doctor. I was told that the tubes are still in there and positioned well. The doctor even let me look at them which was neat! We were told if they do not fall out by June he may go in and take them out and see how she does without them if they do not fall out on their own by then. We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.
We were supposed to have a play date with two friends from school but we canceled that since we wanted to make sure that things had completely calmed down. I was dragging big time because a certain little 21 month old thought it would be fun to get up at midnight and party till 2:30am which is NOT like her. She finally went back down about 2:30 and slept till 4:30 when she decided that was when she was going to get up and stay up for the day. Nap time couldn’t come soon enough on Saturday. I think she was off with her sleep because her belly was bothering her because I noticed while she was up from 12 to 2:30 that she was tooting a lot which is not like her. Thankfully there were no more signs of diarrhea Friday or Saturday. Saturday night we went by our friend Joe and Aly’s house for a little as Joe had planned a surprise party for Aly’s birthday.
Sunday morning we went to church as per the usual. After church we stopped for lunch and then went home so the baby could nap. After her nap we stopped by a friend Kerilyns house for about an hour which was nice because we had not seen her in forever. From there we went to my moms house for dinner with mom and Ray and my mother in law.
Monday was Presidents’ Day and I was home from work. We decided to keep #babybigtruck home one more day just to be on the safe side. I went for a massage that morning thanks to the wonderful Valentine’s Day gift from Mr. Big Truck and #babybigtruck and enjoyed every minute of it. After my massage I picked up the rest of the crew and we ran to the baby’s doctors office to get her a note to go back to school on Tuesday. On our way there my mom called asking if she and grandpa could take the baby for a bit. HECK YEAH! We took her to my moms after the doctor and they went to the boardwalk for a little arcade fun.
From what I can tell #babybigtruck had a good time and scored 3 stuffed emojis. Ironically enough the 3 she got are the 3 I use the most. Go figure!
While mom and Ray had the baby I went to the doctor with Mr. Big Truck and then we went to the mall. We grabbed something to eat and a drink midday which is something we NEVER get to do because of work and the baby so we fully took advantage.
I made a realization while we were enjoying our drinks. While I like wine I think I am going to stick to my 7 & 7’s which I enjoy much more. We also got to walk around the mall without chasing a toddler around which was nice.
Tuesday rolled around and it was back to the grind. I’m back at work and the baby is back at school.
In other news I have been playing around with the layout of my blog. Please let me know what you think of it. All I have been working on a new design for the blog and can not wait to share it with you when it’s all done and installed. Cami has done an AMAZING job!
