Happy Monday friends!
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I know we did!
Friday after work was a chill evening. Mr. Big Truck, #babybigtruck, and I all relaxed at home together.
Saturday morning we got up and Mr. Big Truck went to our church to help out with the work morning. While he was there #babybigtruck and I kicked it at home with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
When Mr. Big Truck got back from church we got to talking about when we should transition #babybigtruck to her toddler bed. We were saying how she already sleeps on a mat at school with no issues so we decided why not let’s give it a shot!
Mr. Big Truck took the front part of her crib off while her and I were in the room with him and she was fine with it. She actually played on the floor with her mattress while we did the switch. Once her bed was set up she climbed in and out of it a few times and then moved on with her day.
Nap time rolled around I was pleasantly surprised at how easily #babybigtruck went down. She didn’t even try to climb out of her bed once! I was so proud of her!
While she napped Mr. Big Truck went grocery shopping since he knows how much I HATE it and I took advantage of the quiet time and snuck a workout in.
After nap and lunch we got ready and set out to go meet Mickey Mouse. One of the local toy stores around us host all different characters through out the year which is fun. I thought #babybigtruck would get a kick out of it because girlfriend loves her some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. We got to the store and there was a little bit of a wait but thankfully it was not too bad. By the time we got in and close to Mickey #babybigtruck was not having it and monkey clung herself onto me and screamed. We took that as our cue to leave.
We had to run to Target to pick up a birthday gift and some other odds and ends so we took care of that next. On our way to Target we passed a store that is in the process of being turned into a Rook Coffee. As we went past it I asked Mr. Big Truck if he had ever had Rook Coffee and he said he hadn’t. Then he proceeded to tell me that during his “gang days” his name was Rook. I died.
Target. Man I have a love hate relationship with that store. I have to admit though I was good and didn’t but random stuff that we didn’t need. #babybigtruck however tried her darnedest to get us to get her all the baby doll stuff they had.
Girlfriend loves her baby dolls.
Saturday night rolled around and I was started to wonder how #babybigtruck was going to do with going to bed. Thankfully she went down just as she always does without any fight and stayed in her big girl bed all night long!
Sunday morning we got up and Mr. Big Truck set out for work while #babybigtruck and I went to church. It was our weekend to serve in the nursery during the first service. Second service I left #babybigtruck in the nursery again and thankfully she was such a good girl! After church we went to my moms to kill some time before we went to Siobhan’s house to celebrate Luna’s first birthday.
As expected #babybigtruck fell asleep in the truck and once we got to my moms I brought her in the house thinking she would stay asleep. Nope. She caught a glimpse of grandma and grandpa and she was up and running around like a madwoman. We hung out for a bit then went to Siobhan’s.
#babybigtruck had so much fun playing with Luna and all the other little kids who were there. There was a little girl who had to be about 4 years old who took #babybigtruck by the hand and the two of them paled around the house together. It was so cute.
Sio had an adorable hot chocolate table set up for the party and I loved the color combination!
We hung out for a bit and then went home to get ready for the week. It was a busy and fun weekend for sure!
