Another weekend done and over with just like that. I will say though this weekend was nice. We had some plans but for the most part the majority of the weekend was open. Friday night we kicked off the weekend with our Life Group. We have been studying the book of John at church and in our group as well. It always amazes me how even though I have heard these teachings before every time I hear them again I learn something new. Friday we talked and studied about Jesus healing the lame man by the pool.
Saturday nothing was planned other than 2 house showings. Mike went to his mom’s house to help his brothers work on her house so #babybigtruck and I packed up and set out. We met up with my Mom and Ray and ran a few errands which inevitably lead me to Target. Oh Target. I had to get diapers and while I was there I ran through the toddler section and a pair of my favorite printed leggings were on clearance so I of course had to make sure that I could get a 3, 4 and 5T to hold us over. We also went to Costco which is always an adventure. We were getting close to lunch time so I knew that #babybigtruck was going to be a ticking time bomb. Enter Grandpa!
#babybigtruck thought she was all that. She also got to hitch a ride with Grandma.
From Costco we went back to Grandma’s and hung out until Daddy was able to come over and then we went to my nephew’s school play.
I was not sure how well #babybigtruck was going to hang but girlfriend did great! She sat through most of the play and the last 15/20ish minutes her and I hung out at the back of the auditorium while we finished watching the play.
Sunday morning rolled around and we went to church in the morning. After church we went to Whole Foods to do some grocery shopping. shudder. I absolutely hate grocery shopping. Like to the point that MJ typically does the shopping for us as he knows I usually lose my mind doing it. Coincidentally there is a ULTA right next to the Whole Foods. Crisis averted! #babybigtruck and I snuck in ULAT while Daddy did most of the shopping! I had to get a new pump for my conditioner bottle and since I was already in there I also took a look at the ULTA brand makeup and picked up 2 new eyeshadow compacts and since it was buy 2 get 2 free I also snagged some new mascara to try. #babybigtruck and I met up with MJ at Whole Foods and we realized it was lunch time so we took advantage of their salad bar and had lunch. After we at we ran home to put everything away and then set out for the Easter Egg Hunt.
Every year Siobhan and her family puts on this HUGE Easter Egg Hunt for a bunch of people they know. There are seriously something like 25/30 kids there. We went last year and although #babybigtruck didn’t understand what was going on she had fun. This year was totally different. This year it was game on! Once the kids were released to go out and collect eggs till their baskets were overflowing #babybigtruck really got into it.
**Side note can we just look at the difference a year makes. Where did my baby go??**
We had said well just let her do her thing and be happy if she gets like 3 eggs. Well let me tell you once #babybigtruck realized that she could collect as many as she wanted she went ahead and filled up her little basket. It was so cute! We ended up back at my moms after the hunt and had dinner with them and Mike’s mom came over for dinner as well.
We went home pretty much right after dinner since little toddler did not get much of nap on Sunday. I do not count a 10 minute cat nap in the car on the way to the Egg Hunt as a nap. Said toddler fell asleep in the truck on the way home which I knew was going to happen. When we got home we changed into pi’s did our evening routine and called it a night. We were hanging out in the living room watching Disney Junior for a bit and Mike managed to snap this gem…
I think it is safe to say we had all had it by Sunday night. Crazy hair and all.
Another weekend has come and gone and how we are staring Easter Weekend right in the face!
