Weekending and Such

Happy Monday friends!

How was everyone’s weekend? Ours was good. Busy as usual but good.

Saturday we got to get out of the house and spend the day together as a family which was nice. I won’t lie I was spent from a long week and wanted to relax a bit before we set out but Mr. Big Truck had other ideas and wanted to get out of the house and go as early as possible. We started the day off with a showing of the house and once they left we set out too. #babybigtruck and I both fell asleep in the truck for a bit as we both had a long week and we needed just a little more rest. We went to the mall and killed some time there for a bit.

First stop was to visit with the Easter Bunny which ended up not being successful as #babybigtruck was not having anything to do with him. We did get a really cute picture of her with the spring background so that’s always a plus. After the bunny we threw coins in the fountain and made wishes.

#babybigtruck and Mr. Big Truck went on the train that goes around the center of the mall. #babybigtruck was super excited to go for a ride on the train.

While they were riding the train I ran to the Apple store to get my iPad checked out. For some reason I couldn’t log into account so I was not getting my iMessages to my iPad and I was not able to FaceTime. We use the iPad to FaceTime with my Dad and Molly weekly so I needed to get that checked out.

We also hit up the carousel in the food court. #babybigtruck and I went on that together. She loved it.

That face though! I love the smiles.

We also went to Build a Bear! Last year for her first birthday #babybigtruck was gifted a gift card to Build a Bear and we have not had a chance to go until Saturday. Sad right? I think we also waited a bit until she was old enough to get involved to.

She picked out a care bear and helped stuff it and put in not 1 but TWO hearts in it.

After it was stuffed her and daddy gave it an air bath. We paid and then decided to call it a day as #babybigtruck was getting tired.

We left the mall and went to my Moms house. I was so tired I wound up taking a power nap at my moms for about 30 minutes. We stayed for dinner and then went home to relax for the rest of the evening.

Sunday morning we got up and went to church as per the usual and then #babybigtruck and I went home while Mr. Big Truck stayed to work in the nursery. My goal was to get #babybigtruck to go down for a nap earlier than normal as we had another showing at 2pm but #babybigtruck decided that was not going to happen. When these people came I actually had to wake #babybigtruck up from her nap about 15 minutes earlier than when she would have normally gotten up. Her and I sat in the truck and watched Elmo’s World a new obsession of hers, while Daddy and Rylie went for a walk around the block. After they left Mr. Big Truck and #babybigtruck went grocery shopping while Mama got to enjoy an hour of quiet alone time. When they got back we put everything away and then went to Mr. Big Trucks moms for dinner and to visit a bit.

Overall it was a good weekend. Now here we are facing Monday and a new week head on. Bring it!

  Hugs, Nikki
