Hope y’all had a great weekend! I know we did!
Friday evening after work was pretty quiet. We hung out at home and relaxed which was something we all needed. I picked up sushi for dinner and after #babybigtruck went to bed Mr. Big Truck and I caught up on Quantico. We have not really had much quite adult time lately as I have been so stink in tired from all the sleep issues #babybigtruck has been giving me. It was nice to spend time with Mr. Big Truck alone without falling asleep on the couch.
Saturday we had plans to go to the circus in the afternoon. In the morning I had a dentist appointment which I got the news that I really need to get some oral surgery to remove a severely impacted wisdom tooth and a root from a previous extraction removed. It is a long time coming. I am not looking forward to it but alas it has to be taken care of. Mr. Big Truck went to help his brothers at his mom’s house for a bit. After we were done with all that it was circus time!
A while back on a whim I decided to google to see what if any circuses were around us. I found the Big Apple Circus and I sprang into action. I called 2 moms from school to see if they wanted to go and then I asked my mom and Ray along with my mother in law. We wound up getting a great group rate and I got 10 tickets front row under $100 each! My niece came with us as well.
#babybigtruck got to spend some quality time with her little boyfriend.
She may have taken matters into her own hands and planted a few kisses on him. I told Brooke that we need to just arrange the marriage now. Those two are so stinkin cute together. It’s sad that they no longer go to school together. Thankfully we do try to get them together at least once a month.
Check that out 10 adults and 3 kids under 2 all looking at the camera at the same time! Unheard of!
The circus was great! The 3 little guys were all so into the circus and sat so nicely for the entire 2 hour performance. During intermission they were doing pony rides so I took #babybigtruck for one.
She was not happy when her ride was over.
At one point in the show there was an act of clowns throwing water in each others faces and the one clown wanted to get back at the other clown and “asked” for audience participation, well the lucky audience member? Ray!
After the show we grabbed dinner and called it a night. Poor Mr. Big Truck was scheduled to be at work at midnight that night so he only got like 2 hours of sleep before his shift started.
Sunday thanks to day lights savings time we missed church. Mr. Big Truck was working till 8am and then was going to come home and sleep and #babybigtruck and I didn’t get up until 7:30am. We got up and got ourselves moving and I had to do the grocery shopping for the week. Typically Mr. Big Truck does it but he had to go back to work at 6pm Sunday evening so he needed to sleep during the day. #babybigtruck and I hit up the dollar store, BJ’s, and Stop & Shop all before nap time. Once she went down for a nap I took some time to get a workout in. It was great!
We were also supposed to meet up with Kenya, her family, and our other friend Alexa, whom we have not seen in FOREVER, this weekend but thanks to Mr. Big Truck having to work on Sunday we had to cancel the plans. Sad Panda.
Once both #babybigtruck and Mr. Big Truck got up we put on our sneakers strapped Rylie into her harness and took #babybigtruck for a spin on the boardwalk in her Radio Flyer. She had a blast and it was nice to be out in the spring like weather!
Once we got back Mr. Big Truck headed out for work while #babybigtruck and I had dinner, skyped with Grandpa and Grandma, took a bath, and then started our nighttime routine. By 8:15pm #babybigtruck was out cold.
A glorious weekend if I do say so myself! Now I have a short week both this week and next and I am not complaining about that at all!
