Happy Monday friends!
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We had a low-key weekend. Not a whole heck of a lot was planned but some plans were in place.
Friday night I got out of work and Mike and I decided to have a spontaneous Date Night. So spontaneous that I was rocking 3 day old hair which I wound up wearing in a top knot with a cute headband.
I also sported one of my new Keepers with the infinity, cross and believe keys.
#babybigtruck got to hang with Grandma and Papa while we had some much-needed adult time. We went to a local place called The Market Grill at the American Hotel. I have been there for their sunday morning brunch but I have never had dinner there. Mike had never been there at all.
When we go out to eat we usually try to order something that we wouldn’t typically make at home. I had the Sea Scallops with Mushroom Risotto and Mike had Seafood Paella.
Mikes dish was HUGE! Both of our meals were delicious and total worth the money!
Friday wound up being a really gorgeous day with temps reaching 82*! When we got the restaurant it was so nice out. We were there for about 1.5 to 2 hours and when we came out it was POURING!
Mike ran to get the truck and then we took a ride to House of Cupcakes. I wanted to order the cupcakes for #babybigtrucks birthday party. When we got there I found out I did not need to order them until about 3 days before the party which actually worked out better because I don’t have to pay for them for another 3 weeks! We got 4 cupcakes to go and then went back to my moms to get the baby and head home.
Saturday #babybigtruck and I were left to our own devices as Mike had to work. We packed up in the morning ran to BJ’s then went to my sister-in-law Erin’s house so the girls could play for a bit.
I got to play with Thing 2 while Thing 1 and #babybigtruck ran a muck through the house.
Aunt Erin gave the girls a brownie bite and #babybigtruck decided that she needed to eat it as so. Crazy kid!
Saturday night when we got home #babybigtruck was playing in the living room while I was getting dinner together. I realized it was awfully quiet and when I went to spy on her I found this…
I was so glad she was being good.
Sunday morning we went to church and then #babybigtruck and I stayed to work the toddler room for the second service. While we were doing that Mike and his friend took a ride to Atlantic City to go to Bass Pro Shops. After church the baby, who is no longer a baby, went to my mom’s house for a bit. As soon as we got there a little toddler was ALL about her Papa.
It was a cold and windy day but that clearly did not stop her from having to play outside with Papa on the tractor.
Once we were able to bribe her to come in she had some lunch then my Mom, the baby, and I went to Babies R Us. I had to get her some new cups and my mom got her some clothes for her birthday.
She also picked her up this adorable little dress for her to wear to NYC when we go to brunch at American Girl. I can not wait!
Another low-key weekend filled with friends and family. I call that a success!
