Happy Monday Friends! Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! I know we did! It was a busy one but a fun one! We had play dates planned for both days and we had a blast with everyone and got some good quality family time in!
Friday night Mike had to work so #babybigtruck and I were on our own. We took a ride down to my moms to go through the mail and make sure everything at the house was good as they are away till the end of the month.
Saturday morning started off with snuggled on the couch with #babybigtruck.
I got up and wanted pancakes for breakfast so I made some apple cinnamon pancakes and turkey sausage.
After breakfast I had an appointment to get my eyebrows waxed and then I had to run to the store to get milk. #babybigtruck tagged along with me so daddy could sleep in a little bit until we got home. While we were at the store I decided that I wanted to make some sauce and meatballs for dinner since it was supposed to rain all day. I figured it would be the perfect dinner for the day.
We had plans for Kenya and her little girl to come to the house and hang out for the day. He husband was going to come along as well but at the last-minute Mike got called into work so it wound up being a girls day. The girls had a blast playing with all the toys in the living room and Kenya and I had fun catching up. We have not seen each other in a while so it was nice.
The last time we all got together the girls were just infants and we were saying we couldn’t believe how big they both got!
I mean just look at the difference!
Sunday morning we got up and went to church in the morning and then Mike and I had a church membership meeting right after. After we were done we piled into the truck and went to meet with friends at this place called Kidz Village. It’s a super cute indoor play place with all different themed rooms and a HUGE climbing thing. We meet up with 2 of #babybigtrucks little friends from school and we were there for a good 2 hours. While we were there Mike and I took turn climbing in the climbing thing and I was able to convince #babybigtruck to go down the tube slid and once she got a chance to see it was not scary she was all about it and going round and round and round.
By the time we got home we were all tired so it was family relax time on the couch/floor.
I even wound up falling asleep on the couch for about 30-45 minutes. We wound up doing some left over pasta and sauce for dinner and then we made a frozen yogurt run after bath time to round out our weekend.
I love when weekends include friends and quality family time. They really make for the best weekends!
