Happy Monday friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful Father’s Day Weekend! Ours was full of lots outdoor time and time with friends and family!
Friday night #babybigtruck and I went to my moms for a bit to celebrate Father’s Day with Ray as we weren’t going to be around much during the weekend. My mom decided she wanted to get her hair cut so we wound up going to the mall to get that done. By the time we got home it was 10pm which was not what I was expecting but sometimes ya just have to roll with it right?
Saturday #babybigtruck and I were on our own as Mike was working. We started off or day with typical errands and blood work. We were home early and #babybigtruck was down for a nap by 10:30am. We had a birthday party to go to for her friend Paisley from school which started at 1 so I wanted to make sure she got her nap in before the party. I wound up having to wake her up at 12:45ish to go to the party. The party was such a great time! The kids got to play in the pool and Mickey and Minnie showed up! #babybigtrucks little boyfriend Logan was there and the two of them were so excited to see each other.
They did not leave each others sides the entire party.
Mickey and Minnie showed up and I thought we were going to lose it as #babybigtruck doesn’t typically do good with characters. Thankfully though she did great this time around. Mickey and Minnie played games with the kids and did the limbo and by the end of the visit #babybigtruck was giving them high fives and even gave them hugs!
Sunday was Father’s Day and we were on the road by 9am and headed to the lake for the first time this season! Dad and Molly just got back from FL on Thursday and it was great to see them and spend the day with them. Mike helped my dad get the boat uncovered and in the lake and unfortunately once it was in after some issues we went for a ride and had even more issues and Dad and Mike had to take the boat out so Dad can get the boat fixed. Hopefully by the next time we get up there all will be well. My niece Amanda also came up to the lake with Hailie and Nicholas and we all got to play in the water and just have a good time. Mike took #babybigtruck out on the kayak for the first time and she had a blast! She also had a grand old-time just sitting on the step playing in the water. To be 2 and not have a care in the world again.
I also was able to recreate the 3 generations photo with my dad, Mike, and #babybigtruck.
And of course I had to get a photo with my dad and Mike and the baby.
We got home about 8pm after a full day at the lake and had to get ready for Monday and the week ahead. I can not believe we are coming to the end of June already I feel like this summer is gonna fly by! Thankfully we have two more weeks of crazy weekends and then things will slow down some and hopefully we will be able to enjoy some more lazy lake days and possibly even some beach days.
