You Know You’re a Mom When…

So I have been at this Mama thing now for just over two years and what a ride it has been. I wouldn’t change it for the world either! Mike and I were not trying to get pregnant when we did. In all honesty we only KNEW each other 6 months when I found out I was pregnant. Talk about a shock!

I’ve been thinking lately about how much my life has changed in the past 2 years and I can’t help but see how much I fit into the mom category now and believe me I am not complaining.

Some of the things that stick out to me:

**The time after #babybigtruck goes to be until I go to bed is pure bliss. It is time to sit and relax and unwind from a crazy day of work and life responsibilities.

**A shower without anyone walking into the bathroom to tell me that they have to go poo poo is heaven!

**Moms Night Out and Date Nights with Mike are something that I treasure more.

**Peeing with the door open is a normal occurrence for me.

**I may or may not hide in the bathroom to have 5 to 10 minutes to myself when Mike is home to keep #babybigtruck occupied.

**Sometimes a good 20 minutes can go by after #babybigtruck has gone to bed and then and only then will I realized that Disney Junior is STILL on.

**Fake cry or Real cry I can tell the difference in 2.5 seconds.

**When the Pottery Barn Kids catalog comes in the mail and my eyes light up where as when the Victoria Secret catalog comes in I just throw it away without looking at it.

**I can not eat dinner at home without #babybigtruck on my lap.

**I have the power to make a boo boo go away with just a kiss.

**I can understand what #babybigtruck is saying better than anyone else.

**At night Mike can sleep through anything and everything and if #babybigtruck so much as creeps out of bed I hear her.

**My purse is now everyone’s bag.

**I can be in a room FULL of kids screaming for their mama and not be phased but the minute #babybigtruck dose I can hear only her voice.

**When I am at work and my phone rings there is ALWAYS a second a panic until it registers if it’s DAY CARE or not on the caller id.

**I can’t do anything without my mini me right next to me and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

**Mama Tribe. Need I say more?

No joke last week #babybigtruck came into the bathroom while I was in the shower and Mike happened to be in the other bathroom and she tells me “Mama, poo-poo!” I said you did or you have to go poo-poo? She took her diaper off -WHILE I’M IN THE SHOWER!- and there was a big turd in it! Needless to say I scooped her up and took her in the shower with me till Mike could come in the bathroom and address that situation! Oh how I miss taking a shower alone! LOL!

These are all so true. Especially the caller id with daycare on it. Ugh. I can spot the fake crying so fast too. It’s funny that they do it and sometimes I call their name and they stop and smile right away. Little stinkers. Being a mommy is so much fun, but those date nights, girls nights and after their bedtime is the best!

Oh man how I hate when Day Care shows up on my caller id! I always love when I answer and they say “Hi Nikki, NOT AN EMERGENCY…” lol! Yes being a mommy is great but man date nights and mommy nights out are the best!

Aww this is so sweet! Some of these are really funny, but that’s just real life when it comes to being a mommy! 🙂
