Things That Make Sense

Knowing now that I am pregnant some things just make more sense now.

**Constantly being tired. Prior to knowing I was pregnant I was exhausted all the time. I would chalk it up to my thyroid levels being off or just not getting enough sleep. Thinking back though there were nights where I would get a solid 8 hours of sleep and I would still wake up feeling like I was hit by a truck. Mystery solved. It’s was not that my thyroid levels were off it was a baby growing.

**Having to drop down 2 belt holes even though I have only gained 7 pounds. I fluctuate 5 to 7 pound on the regular so gaining 7 pounds did not alarm me in the slightest. What started to make me wonder was the fact that I had to drop down 2 belt holes. Something was not clicking but again I did not think much of it. To be honest, I thought it was because I was not lifting like I used to. Nope, it’s because I have a baby growing in my belly.

**Some of my jeans were fitting more and more snug. Again I thought it was just because I had gained about 7 pounds. Nope it was because I have a baby growing in my belly.

**About a week before I found out I was pregnant I started to feel what felt like baby kicks. I did not think much of it but happened to mention it to some girlfriends of mine and they said it was phantom kicks and that they all had them too. Nope it was really a baby kicking that I felt.

**Most  people I have talked to can not believe I did not have any idea I was pregnant. I get asked a lot didn’t you realize you missed your period? Yes I was well aware of that. With that said, when I first missed my period I did test for 2 months and all the tests I took came up negative. I had always been irregular with my periods so I did not think much of it. I also had been told by this point that without the help of some kind of fertility treatments that getting pregnant would most likely not happen so when I was not getting my period I didn’t think much of it.

**Even though I gained some weight I was not showing. I looked like I had just gained some weight so again I didn’t think anything of anything. Even now I am still very slightly showing and if I really want my belly to be pronounced, like in the photo above, I have to purposefully stick it out.

**The first 21 now 22 weeks of this pregnancy I have felt fine other than being tired. I had no symptoms at all of being pregnant. No morning sickness, no sore boobs, no moodiness, no bloating, no cramping, no food aversions nothing so again I didn’t think anything of anything.

It’s kinda crazy to think back now and see how all the pieces of the puzzle have fit in. Thankfully so far everything looks good and I am due sometime between the end of November and early December. I will have a more definitive answer after my level 2 scan in a couple of weeks.

  Hugs, Nikki

Just so crazy! I’m so happy that (other than being tired) you haven’t had to deal with all the crazy symptoms of pregnancy. And so crazy that the tests you took in the beginning came back negative. So happy for you! 🙂

YES! Being tired is not a bad thing to have to deal with at all! I know so many people who have terrible pregnancies so I am very thankful! Thank you!

So crazy to think that being tired was your only real symptom. But so glad that it has worked out the way it has. I can’t wait for babybigtruck2!

It is crazy! Although when I was pregnant with #babybigtruck my only real symptom there was being tired too. I knew early though because I knew I forgot my birth control and my period never came. Granted I never got my period this time but I was not on birth control so I was irregular to begin with!
