Digging Deeper

As most of you who read this blog know Mike and I are Christians and we are not afraid to share that. We will openly talk about our faith to anyone and everyone. With that said today I want to talk about digging deeper.

Lately I have been feeling like God has been calling me to dig deeper in my spiritual life. I spend time in the word but I will not lie I do not spend the kind of time I would like to. I pray daily but I know my prayer life can always improve. I want a deeper connection with God and I know the only way that is going to happen is with me being proactive and being in the word more and praying more.

This notebook I always keep it with me no matter where I go. It’s in my bag all the time and it is great for when I am at church and take notes during the service or when I am at bible study and want to write down prayer requests. I also use this notebook to keep track of random things on my mind and lists. Oh the lists.

Lately with my desire to dig deeper I have decided that I want to create some kind of system or binder that is specifically for my bible time, prayer time, time when I am reading a christian book, small group time, ladies bible study time, and even for planning things like VBS and AWANA. I have been looking on Pinterest for ideas of what I want to do and while I like things from all different posts I need to figure out what will work best for me. I know I want to do a binder with divider tabs which I have and from there I will just kinda try things until I have something that I love.

I am excited to see where God takes me on this journey and I am excited to see what kind of system He helps me develop to bring me closer to Him. If you have any suggestions please do not hesitate to share them with me!

It’s a great idea. I did this a while back and it’s so cool to look back on and see what all God has done since I started keeping track. Also, it’s nice to write down things God tells you. It’s easy to forget, but if they’re written down you can always go back and read!

Awesome! I keep a prayer journal that I write in every morning during quiet time. It’s so cool to be able to look back over the years and see the amazing ways that God has answered prayers. 🙂 And if you are looking for a daily devo right now – I love the She Reads Truth ones! 🙂

I just started a spiritual binder where I can keep everything together! I actually just recently went through my current catch all note book and transferred things into the binder that I didn’t want to loose! I like the She Reads Truth daily devos! I also really like the weekly Thrive Moms email I get and I get a daily devo email but I guess I am just looking for something more if you know what I mean?
