Annnnnd I’m Back!

Hello friends!

And just like that maternity leave is over and I am back at work. Crazy how fast 4 months went! Also crazy to think I now have a almost 3 year old and a 4 month old. If time would slow down a bit that would be really nice.

I love the bond these two are forming. #babybigtruck is absolutely in love with her baby sister and is very protective of her already. She is also super excited that they are both going to school together now. I also catch them sitting together holding hands or I will see #babybigtruck loving on her baby sister all the time. Love it!

Speaking of, #babybigtruck2 started school last week so she would have a week to adjust before I went back to work and girlfriend did so well! She adjusted as well as we could have asked for. Morning now that I am back to work are a little hectic but we are getting into a grove. As of right now I am getting up at 4:45am together myself together then I will wake the girls and get them together. I typically have 4 bags between the 3 of us to get in the truck which I take out before I bring them out and then we are out the door and on our way by 6:20/6:35am for a 6:30 drop off. I do the bulk of the packing up and bottle making the night before this way in the morning all I have to do it grab and go which makes things that much easier.

These two monkeys LOVE their daddy and let me tell you they are the apples of his eyes! I love seeing him interact with them and love on them. They really have the best dad ever.

I feel like I have missed so much the past few month in blog world as I really took the time to be present in the moment with my family. I do not regret it but I am ready to get back into the grove of blogging regularly.

I’ve been back at work for 2 full days now and I can honestly say this time around going back was a cake walk. I remember when I went back after I had #babybigtruck I had so many crazy big emotions that I found myself sitting at my desk holding back tears the first day. This time though it was seriously like I never missed a beat.

Basically I guess life is like riding a bicycle even if you fall off once you get back on you pick it back up and start riding again.

  Hugs, Nikki

So glad the transition has been relatively smooth. That photo of your husband and the girls is precious.
