Every February I tend to make my way down to Florida for a week to visit my dad and Molly. this year Mike, the girls, my mom and Ray were supposed to go to Disney for a week in February. After a surprise pregnancy we decided that we would cancel the Disney part of the trip and that the girls and I would still go to FL and spend the week with Dad and Molly so they could see #babybigtruck and meet #babybigtruck2.
I have flown on my own with #babybigtruck but this trip I would be flying alone with 2 kids. Normally I would fly into West Palm Beach which is about an hour drive for Dad and Molly but since this trip was originally a Disney trip I was flying into Orlando which is a 2 hour and 15 minute drive for them. that said both girls did amazing on the flight and the car ride to their house. Mike took us to the airport on the 11th and helped us get the carseats and bags checked then I put #babybigtruck in the stroller and I put #babybigtruck2 in the Ergo and ventured off. The flight was uneventful thankfully as #babybigtruck played nicely on the iPad and #babybigtruck2 slept most of the flight. Once we landed and I got our stroller I put both girls in the stroller and set out to find Dad and Molly.
Dad and Moly were thrilled to spend the week with us and finally meet #babybigtruck2. We have not seen them since August when they sold the lake house and decided to be full time FL residents.
The week was gorgeous. The weather was in the upper 70’s and low 80’s all week. #babybigtruck spent plenty of time in the pool with grandma while #babybigtruck2 spent plenty of time lap hopping and swinging.
While we were there we hit up the Martin County Fair, Port Saint Lucie Botanical Gardens, we visited with friends and took lots of walks. By mid week we were talking about me flying back and Dad and Molly suggested that we spend the day Friday in Disney this way we didn’t have to get up at 2:30am to drive to Orlando Saturday morning.
We spent a total of 6 hours in Magic Kingdom and we had a ball.
We managed to get on the carousel, Under The Sea, Dumbo, and of course, It’s A Small World. We finished the day at Chef Mickey’s for dinner where #babybigtruck say under the table and ate while #babybigtruck2 sat blissfully unaware of what was going on around her with all the characters.
After spending 6 hours in Magic Kingdom I told Michael that our next family vacation has got to be Disney! He had not problem agreeing to that. We have actually started kicking around ideas of when we want to go and it is looking like we will be going in 2018 sometime.
