Happy Hump Day Friends!
Ya know that saying March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb? Well it sure has been a Lion recently. We got hit with snow yesterday and it was not fun. Monday night I stayed at my moms with the girls as we were forecasted to get something like 12-18 inches of snow thanks to a blizzard that was coming our way and Mike had to work a snow in. The governor of NJ called a State of Emergency and because of that work was closed and the girls daycare was also closed. Thankfully when we got up yesterday we only had about 6 inches.
We set up shop at moms and I introduced the girls to The Little Mermaid as #babybigtruck has been all about Ariel since we were in Disney and went on the ride Under the Sea.
That chair she is sitting in is one of those infant to toddler chairs it is not hers it is actually her sisters but she INSISTED on sitting in it.
I got back to our house about 1pm-ish yesterday and both the girls were sleeping in the truck so I left them in the truck while it was running so I could dig a path from the truck to the door and clean off the steps then I got them in the house.
We ended up watching “Ariel” 3 more times at home and we also watched Frozen or as #babybigtruck likes to call it “Anna & Elsa” once too. While the girls were watching movies, or more so while #babybigtruck was watching movies and playing and #babybigtruck2 was napping and doing what infants do best, I was able to get some things done around the house which was a success!
The only thing I did not get to do was shovel our driveway but thankfully my truck has 4 wheel drive so it was not the end of the world. I wanted to get it done so Mike did not have to deal with it after dealing with snow for over 24 hours at work. But that was a big fat fail.
Needless to say since I did not get it done yesterday poor Mike is out there now chipping away at the ice and snow making room for both of our trucks. Thanks babe for being the awesome husband and daddy that you are to us! We love you!
