Sunday June 25th we dedicated #babybigtruck2 to the Lord. She was absolutely a gift from the Lord and we are so so thankful for her.
Pastor Dan did the ceremony which is awesome because he also did the dedication ceremony for #babybigtruck as well.
Ironically it was almost 3 years to the day that the girls were dedicated.
Dan picked a few verses to share with us…
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; you works are wonderful I know that full well. ~Psalm 139:13-14
So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord. ~1 Samuel 1:28 I found it rather appropriate as one of the verses I have in her room is the one just before this, I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. ~1 Samuel 1:27
He also shared
Hear, O Israel: The Lord of God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all you soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk bout them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframe of your houses and on your gates. ~Deuteronomy 6:4-9
With that he encouraged us to be LOT parents. What is a LOT parent? It is a parent who Loves the Lord, Obeys the Lord, and Teaches their children about the Lord.
After the service we went to Sterling Gardens for a brunch reception and it was great! The facility did an awesome job catering to our ever need. The stuff was amazing and the food was delicious!
Overall it was a great day and we were blessed to celebrate with all our friends and family!
