Life…

Sometimes life gets the best of me and this little space here gets neglected. It happens right? What can one do? Ride out the waves and wait for the calm. I have to admit there have been thoughts of shutting this space down but at the same time I do not want to do that one because of all the time and effort that has gone into it and two because I want to keep this space so the girls can look back on it. So here I am trying to play catch up and share some of the things we have been up to.

Back in August I mentioned that we had a contract on our house and that the potential buyer pulled out. I also mentioned that we needed to address a mold issue. Well the mold remediation has started! Mike has also started to work on the master bathroom and that is proving to be a little more than we were anticipating. Nothing is ever easy right? Meh, it is what it is. Hopefully he has the bathroom done in the next few weeks this way the girls and I can move back home.

Yes you read that right we are gonna move back home. We have decided that it is time to take the house off the market for the time being, which it currently is, and let things lie for a while. We are gonna sit tight and pray that when we put the house back on the market it will be a smooth transaction and that we won’t have any issues.

While living at my moms has been nice for plenty of reasons the girls and I have to get back to the house. #babybigtruck misses her daddy, as do I , #babybigtruck2 is a little clueless as to what is going on but I am sure she misses him as well. I also need some space. I have no me space at my mom’s house and #babybigtruck2 and I share a room. The girls go to bed at 7pm and I have nowhere to go to just relax which is hard. I miss having a space to do my workouts, which are nonexistent right now, and I miss being able to sit on my couch and watch some tv before I go to bed. I know it is all trivial things but it’s things I miss for sure. Don’t get me wrong I am so super thankful to have a place to be staying while the house gets worked on but it has been tough.

What else? The weather has been gorgeous lately! To the point that you forget that it is technically fall! We took advantage of the beautiful summer like weather and hit up the boardwalk to put the girls on some rides. #babybigtruck LOVED going on all the rides. She also got to go on the big kid version of the swings and she had a ball!

#babybigtruck2 got to go on a few rides as well and had fun. She went on the hot air balloon ride with her sister and I along with the carousel and the train.

Toby is a getting to be a beast and homeboy has no idea what personal space is and insists on wedging himself in the smallest area on the sofa when he is with me.

And speaking of the couch, Sunday I put #babybigtruck2 down for an afternoon nap and then #babybigtruck climbed up on my lap and I had put on the Food Network and she asked me if we could watch Mickey, I said no we were going to watch mommy’s show for a little bit. Next thing I knew she passed out on me.

She has not napped on me like this in FOREVER! I loved every second of it. I don’t want them to grow up. I know I have no way of stopping it but a mama can wish right?

Anyway yeah life has been good lately and I can not wait to get back into our house and get back on our regularly scheduled programming but until then I will hold on and ride out the storm.

  Hugs, Nikki

I hope you are able to go back home soon. It’s hard being separated like that. Fingers crossed that the renovations continue to go smoothly.

Thanks! Hopefully in the next few weeks! Mike is in the process of redoing our master bathroom and once that is done the girls and I will be going back!
