After #babybigtruck2 turned one it was time to turn our attention to getting ready for our trip to Arizona to see my parents retirement house. I was supposed to go out in October 2016 however with being late into my pregnancy with #babybigtruck2 my doctor did not want me traveling. It turned out to be a blessing because the day after I would have left I wound up having #babybigtruck2. Crazy how things work out right? So fast forward a year and BOTH girls and I set out for AZ with mom and Ray. Mike was set to meet us out there a few days later.
Mom, Ray, the girls, Dakota, yes the dog, and I set out for Arizona on October 29th. Mike flew out on November 1st and Mike, the girls, and I flew home together on November 4th. The trip started out rocky to say the least! On our flight out poor #babybigtruck2 spiked a fever. Thankfully I had packed Motrin on a whim so I was able to give her that on the plane and it helped! Once we got to moms house her fever came and went and finally after a couple of days of dealing with the fever I took her to urgent care out there and sure enough poor thing had a ear infection. We got her on a antibiotic and things calmed right down thankfully!
While we were out there mom and I had tickets to see Britney Spears on November 1st in Vegas! I was super excited. Mom and I drove out to Vegas that afternoon dropped off a car to Mike and he went back to their house while we went to spend so mommy daughter time in Vegas.
First stop was the Welcome to Las Vegas sign.
That was when it hit me that it had been a month to the day since the horrible massacre. It was chilling and sad.
After that Mom and I set out for Planet Hollywood to shop and eat. We had dinner at Koi which was delicious and then went to the casino for a bit. Mom played Black Jack for a bit. We sat at a table and started talking to a guy that was sitting there and we came to find out that he was down 4 thousand dollars. FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS. I was speechless. Soon enough it was time for the concert and we had a blast! I had such a good time that I did not take any photos! We had seats toward the back of the arena and as we were sitting there we were offered seats closer to the stage for free which we graciously accepted and enjoyed!
The rest of the week was full of ATVing and hanging out at the house. We took the ATV’s to Oatman and saw the wild donkeys that roam around. There was even a baby donkey that was all of 2 days old!
Both girls got a kick out of the donkeys and enjoyed feeding them. #babybigtruck had a ball riding on the ATV’s with Papa, myself, and Mike. We had a great trip and can’t wait to go out again.
